Important: We do NOT track your location in the background. Location tracking only occurs when you explicitly activate verification mode by tapping "I'm Here" during a freebie activity. You can close verification mode at any time, which immediately stops all location tracking.
Why we store verification coordinates: Location data from completed steps is retained solely to verify you were physically present at the business location in case of disputes or fraudulent activity. This protects both you and the participating businesses.

How token collection works: When you grant notification permission through your device's system prompt, the App obtains a token from Firebase Cloud Messaging and registers it with Freebeo's backend. This token identifies your device for notification delivery only — it does not identify you personally and is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Token removal: Your device token is automatically removed from our systems when you log out, revoke notification permission, or delete your account. If you uninstall the App, Firebase Cloud Messaging will report the token as invalid and we will delete it from our systems the next time a notification is sent.

You have full control over push notifications from Freebeo. Notification permission is requested via your device's standard system prompt and you may grant or revoke it at any time:
When you revoke notification permission, the App removes your device token from our servers on the next launch so you will no longer receive push notifications. You may re-enable notifications at any time through your device settings.
Push notifications we send are limited to platform announcements, new business highlights, and active freebie callouts composed by the Freebeo team. We do not send third-party advertising notifications.
Location tracking is opt-in by design. You are never required to share your location except when completing location-based freebie steps. You can:

Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as you use the App.
Inactive Accounts: If you do not log in to the App for 2 consecutive years, we may automatically delete your account and all associated data after providing you with email notice (if possible).
Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens are removed from our servers when you log out, revoke notification permission on your device, or when Firebase Cloud Messaging reports that a token has expired or become invalid (e.g., after uninstalling the App). All tokens for your account are permanently deleted when you delete your account.
